Enquiry Service

At the heart of our information provision is our enquiry service. This is a non-medical service, which you can access via telephone or email, or you can make an appointment to visit the library and speak to us in person. Help is given to anyone with an interest in neurological conditions, including people with conditions, family, carers, friends, students and health and social care professionals.

The information team is experienced in dealing with a wide range of enquiries, such as from people who have been newly diagnosed, those with specific questions and those needing information about many aspects of living with a condition, for example getting holiday insurance or living with memory loss.

We can signpost you to local and national sources of support for your condition using our database of neurological organisations and charities.

We have an extensive reference library of resources on a wide range of neurological conditions. Types of information available include: books, leaflets, reports, newsletters and journals, mostly written for patients and carers. We also hold some neurological medical reference books and some resources and journals aimed at health and social care professionals.
