Neurosupport has been hosting a series of movies which all have a neurological condition at the heart of their stories. NeuroCinema will present a film accompanied by short talk and/or presentation by an expert on the neurological condition described in the film.
We plan to show a film in each quarter of the year and, after the success of our first three films - 'Hilary and Jackie', 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly', and 'Awakenings' - we are proud that the fourth film in the series will be 'Mo', a film portrayal of Mo Mowlam, showing at Liverpool Hope University's Hope Park (Childwall Campus).
Mo, a film portrayal of Mo Mowlam's compelling political rise under former British Prime Minister Tony Blair up to her death from a brain tumour in 2005. She was the much-loved Labour minister in charge of bringing peace to Northern Ireland. The role of Mo is played brilliantly by BAFTA winning Julie Walters and is supported by the superb performance of Gary Lewis (who played Adam Ingram MP). Afterwards we will have a short talk from a Neuro specialist on Brain Tumours and their impact.
We are delighted to announce that our sponsor for Mo is one of our loyal supporters Goodmans Law - medical negligence and personal injury specialists - a big thanks for helping NeuroCinema! NeuroCinema will take place at Hope University, Hope Park (Childwall Campus), Liverpool L16 9JD [Google map]
