Support for people with conditions

Neurosupport runs the Working Life Service to help and advise people affected by a neurological condition or brain injury with any issue to do with employment, or in finding a meaningful alternative to work.

Worried about your job?

Receiving a diagnosis of a neurological condition, or experiencing a brain injury can be a very distressing experience and worries about being able to keep your current job are common.

Our trained advice and guidance workers are experienced in helping people with neurological conditions to retain their existing job wherever possible. You can telephone or email us for initial advice at any time. Our advisors will usually then arrange an appointment to see you and discuss your issues in greater depth. They can liaise with employers, talk to managers, offer advice on adaptations to your workplace or working day, which may enable you to continue with your work and many other issues.

For more information contact Gerry Tyrrell or telephone 0151 2982999

Want help to find a job?

Many people with newly diagnosed or long-term neurological conditions find it difficult to break into the job market for the first time. Our trained advice and guidance workers can work with you on a one-to-one basis to offer you the support and help you need to find and keep the job that is right for you.

We can help with all aspects of preparing for employment, including confidence building courses, basic IT courses and help with writing your CV (Curriculum Vitae).

Once you are ready to start applying for jobs then we support you with your job search, help you with your job applications and interview preparation.

For help towards employment contact Jan Comer (North Liverpool and Sefton residents) or Frank Madariaga (City centre, South Liverpool & Wirral) or telephone 0151 298 2999
